This one’s for Heman.
Heman’s off to Bali without me (rude), but at least he asked for some useful hints for his family trip in March. Since he’s staying in Canggu—and happening to be there for Nyepi Day (aka Bali’s Day of Silence on March 11), he’s in for a unique experience.
I don’t hit Canggu often, but when I do, my go-to brunch spot is Lusa by Suka, and if you’re looking for a beach club, La Brisa is the one. Of course, I recommend heading to Seminyak—because Ling Lings for Taco Tuesday and Warung Jembung never disappoint.

Between dodging flooded streets and mastering the fine art of waterproofing a bandaged toe, this little mishap has turned into its own mini-adventure. Oh, and if you ever need medical care in Bali, here’s a tip: don’t get caught paying inflated tourist prices—quality treatment doesn’t have to break the bank.
Lesson learned? Always expect the unexpected… and maybe pack extra garbage bags. Read on for the full story!

The sky's the limit!
Kicking off 2025 with city views, good vibes, and good friends—what could be better? Well, throw in a chaotic morning, a surprise washing machine flood, and a mad airport dash, and suddenly, it’s an adventure. Luckily, Bali welcomed me with smooth sailing, friendly faces, and next-level sashimi to start the year right.
Here’s to fresh starts, unexpected moments, and saying yes to wherever life takes us. Read on for the full story!
