The sky's the limit!

What a way to kick off 2025!

New Year’s Eve on the balcony was pure magic—good friends, great vibes, and the city lights sparkling below us. We laughed, we toasted, and for a moment, everything felt perfectly in place.

Fast forward to New Year’s Day, and things got a little more… chaotic. I had an Airbnb guest checking in, so I was in full prep mode, making sure everything looked just right. And then—because the universe loves a bit of drama—my washing machine decided to flood the place. Cue a mild panic attack. Thankfully, my neighbor came to the rescue, and I somehow still made it to the airport on time.

Once I was on the plane, everything felt smooth sailing. A couple of hours to chill, brush up on my Indonesian, and mentally switch into Bali mode.

Landing in Bali, I expected it to be a bit frazzling as it was New Years Day, but honestly? It was the complete opposite. My driver was an absolute gem, chatting with me the whole ride to the villa and making me feel way more confident about my language skills. (10/10 recommend learning a few local phrases—it makes such a difference!)

Later that night, I met up with friends for some late-night eats and drinks at one of my favourites. And let me tell you, the sashimi? Life-changing. Pair that with good company and a couple of cocktails, and it was the perfect way to roll into 2025.

So here’s to more adventures, more unexpected moments (preferably fewer floods), and more saying yes to wherever life takes us.

Pro tip: If you’re traveling soon, take five minutes to learn some basic phrases—it makes the whole experience so much better.

Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s make it a good one. 🎉✈️

Selamat Tahun Baru, semuanya! Ayo buat tahun ini menjadi tahun yang baik. 🎉✈️
