I thought I’d be poolside, laptop open, and margarita in hand—but Bali’s wet season and my toe situation had other ideas.

So instead, I’ve set up camp just down the road at Warung Jembung, one of my locals and often called the hidden gem of Bali. Tucked away from the crowds, it’s the perfect spot to escape the chaos, sip on something cold, and dig into a plate of nasi goreng ayam while I get some work done. Laptop open, progress made… Lemon Smirnoff ordered.

Between the rain and being mostly stuck close to home, I’ve realized that slowing down has been exactly what I needed. It’s given me the time to actually get this website off the ground—no distractions, just steady progress.

So here we are: Smirnoff in hand, the sound of rain, and my website finally coming to life.
